DI0933 A VERY LARGE ORNATE ARCH TOPPED INTERNAL PINE DOOR AND FRAME

A large and imposing, heavy, reclaimed internal pine door with an arched top and arched frame. The door was reclaimed from a very fine house, once lived in by a Roman Catholic Archbishop of Dulwich and has a very interesting design with very decorative mouldings and circular decorations applied to both faces. The frame appears to have not been used. Please note, the frame does not have a sill, the baton in the picture is to hold the frame in place for photos. The door has been painted white but the paint has losses and stains and you will need to sand and re-paint the door to suit.

The door is sold as seen with signs of age and wear and some damage and is therefore suitable for INTERNAL USE ONLY. There is some separation to some of the joints, mainly at the top of the door and there is a gap between joints at the top of the door on one face. There are some surface cracks, knocks and chips to the wood. Some of the mouldings have damage. There are some cracks and splits, especially to the panels. There is some wood filler applied in places. The base of the frame has some softness but it appears to have not been used. You may wish to carry out some restoration to the door and frame. Please see pictures for condition details. The door has fantastic character and a very interesting design and it would make a striking feature item for a home.
