Pastel Striped Songjiang Cushion

These cushions are made from a wonderful vintage hand loomed textile from East China. The textile is made from unbleached cotton, that was has been hand spun. The coloured stripes are in soft pastel colours, mainly yellows and ochre but also red, green and mauve. The textile has a wonderful texture with lumps and bumps from the handmade processes including lots of tiny brown specs which are remnants of the cotton seed husks. These features are characteristic of handwoven and hand-spun textiles and should not be seen as faults. There are zip fasteners and feather pads.
