This is an ancient Roman silver denarius, of Emperor Trajan, minted in Rome between 98 - 99 AD
Obverse: IMP CAES NERVA TRAIAN AVG GERM "Supreme commander (Imperator), Caesar, Nerva Trajan, emperor (Augustus), conqueror of the Germans." Head of Trajan, laureate, right.
Reverse: P M TR P COS II P P "High priest, holder of tribunician power, consul for the second time, father of the nation." Pax, draped, wearing wreath, standing left, holding branch up in right hand and cornucopiae in left.
