About this item
A beautifully carved church offertory box, dating to the late 19th century. It has a long handle to allow the carrier to reach down pews. The handle is carved with reeding and with ribbon like flourishes at the shoulders. The interior is felt lined.
This is a lovely piece with beautiful patination to the wood. There is an old repair to the end of the handle.
