About this item
A decorative wall plaque, designed by John Clappison for the Hornsea Pottery in the 1970s. It comes from their 'Muramic' range. It features a mosaic-like image of a stylised peacock, made up of small pottery panels, some with incised decoration, some vividly glazed, set against a textured hessian-like ground. It is framed in teak. The original Muramic label is attached to the back. There is a small loop attached to the back so it is ready to hang.
