Very Large 19th Century Pure Butter Shop Display Dish By H. Marsh, 41cm Diameter

A pretty rare very large 41cm diameter 19th century ironstone PURE BUTTER shop display dish by H. Marsh, Manchester.

With retail sticker from 1980s or earlier (old 01 tel code for London changed to 0171/0181 in 1990) from antique dealers Still Too Few' from Westbourne Grove in Notting Hill district of London..nice bit of Notting Hill provenance.

Have seen these in the low to mid 30s cms diameter, but never this scale.

Condition very nice with imperfections as may expect from essentially a commercial piece over 100yrs old. No damage, cracks or repairs..just age related patina. Please take a look at the pictures as they form a large part of the description.
