About this item
A vessel in the form of a rotund, open-mouth fish, designed by the Danish jeweller and sculptor Just Andersen in 1939. It is cast in 'Disko' metal, an alloy of lead and antimony devised by Andersen. It has a bronzed patinated finish. The base bears Andersen's impressed mark, the number 1389, and 1435 scratched into the metal below this.
Condition : There is a little scuffing and scratching to the surface, and minor wear to the patination.
