About this item
A very attractive quality Mahogany pedestal desk. Made in the late 19th / early 20th Century. The two pedestals which are fixed to the top contain 8 drawers in total with serpentine fronts, edged with carved detail. Each pedestal is flanked by slender fluted columns with finely carved decoration to the tops. The shape of the desk is echoed in the top with even the round columns and shaped leather writing surface.
It has a polished back so can stand alone in a room, or against a wall. Handles and locks (which have keys) are all original. A very handsome little desk indeed.
Condition : Excellent. No breaks, splits, restoration. Totally original
