Lettered beneath the image (l.l.) "Drawn by Le Capelain-Walton,lith.", (l.r.) "Day & Son lith.rs to the Queen". (The title possibly obscured by the mount).

This image is one of the celebrated series of works produced by John Le Capelain to commemorate Queen Victoria's visit to Jersey of 1846. Le Capelain produced six pictures relating specifically to the Queen's trip and nineteen further topographical views of Jersey, which were presented to Her Majesty as a souvenir. These images also lithographed by William Walton and published by Day & Son" and gathered together in a book entitled "The Queen's Visit to Jersey, September 3rd 1846" issued in 1847 by Philip Falle of Jersey.

"Valley of Queen's Farm, Jersey" was number 26 in the series. The original watercolour remains in the Royal Collection [see RCIN 922536].
