A very fine 19th Century giltwood overmantle or hall mirror.  The bevelled mirror glass plate is set within an elegantly shaped giltwood frame of rectangular form.  The moulded, hand carved frame is adorned throughout with scrolling foliate and surmounted with a central pierced cartouche with a beautiful arrangement of flowerheads flanked with scrolls, ruffles and trailing foliate, elaborately carved in high relief.
