This is an antique fireside bin. An English, copper firewood store or coal scuttle, dating to the mid Victorian period, circa 1870. 

Dashing Victorian copper bin, perfect for the fireside Displays a desirable aged patina and in good original order Hand-beaten copper shows wonderful amber hues and patinated finish Wide flared rim to each side, with rolled edge over a tapering form Stout rolled handle rotating on superb ivy leaf shaped mounts Raised upon a distinctive tiered oval base
