Superb example of a late 18thc/early 19thc small turned fruitwood salt.....it stands on a slightly raised base and has lightly incised ring turn decoration.....being fruitwood it has gained a lovely natural colour and patina..... I particularly like the "tight" lathe marks underneath and inside the bowl, I think of it as the turners autograph....!
