Icon of the Holy Blessed Prince Alexander Nevsky in a gilded silver frame, workshop of Vladimirov. Chamber and at the same time, solemn image represents the classical composition of the saint standing near the table with Monomakh's cap. Iconography interprets the spiritual vocation - higher than military glory and power. Gesticulation of the prince affirms sincere participation in the faith, obedience to God and renunciation of worldly ways. The delicate and detailed writing, now covered in craquelure, is framed by a magnificent riza stylizing the solemn gates of the royal chambers, where the floral pattern is intertwined with the buds on the capstones of the arch. St. Petersburg hallmarks 84 samples of silver and assay master Yakov Lyapunov 1899-1903. The manufacturer is the jewelry firm Eduard, (ZD), famous for the standard quality of awards for the highest officers of the tsarist empire.
