Very elegant and beautifully carved Regency style scrolled end window seat on brass lions paw castors, circa 1850 and in lovely condition.
The frieze panels with Adams style carving.
Certainly a decorative piece and with it being fully carved to both sides, it can free stand in a living room for example, but would also be great as an end of bed bench too.
The current black ticking upholstery looks to have been done fairly recently, some minor discolouration to one end and is finished with a gimp braid. It can of course be re upholstered if you would prefer.
Fabulous piece of very elegant, but very useable furniture.
