Antique French Restauration period (1815-1830) pier mirror with cream gesso frame decorated with intricate, raised, stone colour, classic floral and foliate patterns bordered with burnished gilt edges and a little overlapping acanthus leaf design along the sight edge. The original mercury glass has light age but gives an excellent reflection. Called by the French an "entre deux" mirror because it was originally hung between two tall windows, this mirror would also work well as a full-length mirror.
