Antique Milliners Hat Stretcher. Made from Beech, these hat stretcher are rare to find, and this one remains in original working order, with the turning handle which expands the stretcher that runs along the size chart. C1900
These were used by milliners for forming and stretching hats in to shape by turning the lever, and would have been electric or manually turned. This is a lovely example of Millinery history and would make a stunning decorative piece or a shop display. (Hat not included)
