A very fine early 19th Century mahogany linen press or wardrobe, of exceptional quality, fabulously hand carved and crossbanded throughout with gorgeously rich patination and grain.  The upper section with a stepped and moulded cavetto pediment above simple frieze, raised over two doors with beautifully cross banded panels with reeded edge and decorative brass escutcheons, opening to reveal adjustable shelved interior.  The fine chest base with two short and two long graduated drawers, all cockbeaded with decorative brass escutcheons and swan neck handles, supported on elegant ogee bracket foot.
