A very fine late 19th Century marble top giltwood console table and matching giltwood mirror.  The original bevelled mirror glass plate of rectangular form is set within a fabulously hand carved, moulded and fluted giltwood frame with beautiful decorative motifs throughout, comprising of applied floral paterae, beading, lozenge, lambs tongue and ribbon detail, surmounted with an impressive curved architectural pediment with diamond pattern detail and dentil moulding above fluted frieze.  The matching, finely carved giltwood console table with a gorgeous moulded Marquina Black marble top of demilune form above fluted frieze supported on elegantly tapering cabriole leg with acanthus leaf on knee and scroll detail, conjoined with curved concave stretcher, terminating on toupie foot.
