This is a Swiss pocket watch made for the British railway circa 1910
The watch is ticking but has not been cleaned or serviced and is sold with no warranty
Movement – the nickel ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement and is signed “Limit No 2, 15 Jewels, Swiss Made”. The movement is in 950 mint condition
Case – the movement comes in a white metal open face case, which has a screw off back and bezel. The back cover is stamped ‘”BR (M) 17297”. The rest of the case has a smooth plain finish and is in 85% mint condition – a few small bruises and light scratches
Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands. The dial is signed “Limit no 2, Swiss Made”. The dial is in poor condition – two deep chips and many cracks
The watch has a thick bevelled glass – this does have a chip on one edge
The watch measures 54mm wide x 15mm deep
The watch is stem wound / stem set
