A very fine 19th Century mahogany marble top centre table, of fantastic quality and finely hand carved with beautifully rich patination and grain.  The gorgeous moulded and fluted emperador marble top of circular form with concentric ring detail to the outer edges is raised over an elegantly simple frieze with gadroon border detail.  The fabulously hand carved ring turned pod is embellished with finely detailed acanthus leaf, scrolling foliate and beaded motifs, supported on trefoil base with gadroon and lambs tongue borders framing applied flower head paterae, supported on out splayed lion paw foot, finely carved in high relief with scroll and acanthus leaf motifs on knee, terminating on casters.
