A solid brass 'Athena' door knocker, dating to around 1900. It is finely moulded as a mask of the Greek goddess of wisdom and strategy. The back is marked 'England' and the original screws to attach it to a door are still in place. The brass has a pleasing aged patina with a little wear due to years of use.
