Victorian mahogany country house letter box, the sloping hinged cover applied brass 'Letter' aperture with brass framed bevelled glass window below, the base with Brammah lock with bevelled glass panel beneath, on a bevelled base.

The vast majority of these letter boxes are made in oak - this example is unusually in mahogany and is of a very good colour.
