A handpainted elephant with removable centre tray made in Czechoslovakia.  It is in very good condition having several possible uses:

(1) a vase as shown in the photographs 

(2) as a holder for dips or cocktail sticks

(3) for condiments, or even possibly as 

(4) as an incense burner
