An original enamel advertising sign for Rinso laundry soap.
Rinso was the brand name of a laundry soap created by Hudson's Soap in 1908, and was used primarily in the UK, USA and Australia. It was one of the first mass-marketed soap powders, it went on to be manufactured in the United States by the Lever Brothers - later to be known as Unilever.
This wonderful sign has retained a good gloss and the colours are still strong, although it does have the usual scuffs, marks and small patches of enaml loss as expected from an item of this age and material. In good unrestored condition this eye-catching sign would make a great addition to any collection.
Circa 1920s
Please remember that you are purchasing vintage items. They have lived a life and will have the age related wear which gives the items their original and unique character.
