A set of six beautiful Victorian encaustic tiles. The tiles have an attractive design with a dark red background and a pale colour has been used for the pretty leaf and flower design. The tiles would have likely been used for a decorative path and could be used for this purpose again. The tiles are also fantastic for other home projects. The tiles are in good reclaimed condition with some slight damage, as expected of reclaimed items. The tiles have colour variation and some fading to the designs. One tile in particular has more fading and discolouration. The tiles will need some further cleaning using specialist products and then sealing if desired. There are some knocks and chips, especially to the corners and edges and some larger chips to the back of the tiles. Please see pictures for condition details. The tiles have a very pretty, traditional, Victorian appearance and would be ideal for many projects.
