A set of small reclaimed Victorian painted pine window shutters. The set comprises of two pairs, a top pair and a bottom pair, each with four leaves. The shutters are designed to have two leaves to sit on one side of the window and two on the other side. Each side is hinged together and the inner leaves are designed to fold back behind the outer leaves with the decorative beading. There is a rebated edge so the shutters sit nicely together when closed. The shutters are petite and could be used for small windows or would perhaps be ideal for use as cupboard doors. The bottom pair of shutters are slightly smaller in height. The shutters have been painted with a white chalk paint but there are some stains, flaking and chips and the chalk paint leaves residue and purchaser may wish to sand and re-paint them to suit. The shutters are reclaimed and therefore have some signs of wear and age. The pine has some notches out of the wood, splintering, knocks and slight damage, especially to the edges and corners. There is some damage to the top left shutter where there is some wood that has broken away from the corner. There are some small holes visible. The back of the shutters have some splits from hardware removal. The hinges have some surface rust and purchaser may need to replace these. Please see pictures for condition details. The shutters have a lovely period appearance and would be ideal for an interior project or for smaller windows.
