Indigo Dong cushions with Uzbek tassels

These cushions are made from a vintage Dong wedding blanket which is a superb quality weave. The wedding blanket was handloomed pre 1950s and the yarn is a mixture of off white and indigo cottons. The looms were only abut 13" wide, so the narrow textiles were sewn together to make a broader cloth. Most wedding blankets are 2 or 3 widths across and then have a further border. The cushions are backed with indigo dyed cotton and I've used vintage Uzbek tassels at the corners which are themselves a work of art. There are zip fasteners and feather pads.
