A very nice Georgian silver mounted snuff box formed from a carved cowrie shell and with carved mother of pearl hinged cover. c.1800-1810.

It measures 7cm (2 3/4") long, 3.8cm (1 1/2") wide and 3.8cm (1 1/2") high. 

In excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs to any of the shell. The hinge is fine and the cover closely well. The silver is unmarked.
