'The Zephyr' four blade 8" desk fan, manufactured by 'The Metallic Seamless Tube Co. Ltd'.

This wonderfully well engineered fan has a heavy black japanned cast iron body and base and these have retained much of their original finish. There are the usual scuffs, marks and scrapes as expected from an item of this age and use. The brass blades and cage are free from any splits, cracks. The boss in the centre of the cage reads 'The Zephyr Fan - All British Patent'. There is an applied plaque to the base which details the fan's specifications and information on the manufacturer. The original toggle switch to the base is present and working. The fan does run, the blades move at a good speed and it oscilates through most of it's motion although it does stick at the top of the cycle.

This is being sold  as a collectible item - if it is being bought to be used it must be re-wired and PAT tested by a qualified electrician before use.
