A stunning 19th Century kingwood jewellery box with gorgeous ormolu decoration throughout, the moulded top of rectangular form beautifully quartered veneered and cross banded with central cartouche, opening to reveal fitted section with inset mirror.  The serpentine shaped body with ornate escutcheon and key, with original lock engraved by the famous Paris maker Louis Grande, raised over concave plinth base with acanthus leaf detail.
