This is an ancient Roman gold Solidus of emperor Valentinian I, dating to 364 - 375 AD
Obverse: DN VALENTINI-ANVS PF AVG,"Our Lord Valentinian Pious Fortunate August" rosette-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust right
Reverse: RESITITVTOR REIPVBLICAE, "Restorer of the Republic" Emperor standing facing, head right, holding Victory on globe and labarum (standard with chi-rho on banner)
This coin was struck at the Antioch mint, between 364 - 375 AD mint mark ANTH dot. [H (eta) 8th] for the 8th Officina at Antioch]
