About this item
A good quality, English copper saucepan and cover. This is stamped with the orb and cross symbol used by Benhams to the base and there is also the remains of a workman’s mark. The pan is also engraved with the initials “R.P.L”, by the side of the handle, but these are now quite worn. It is well made, from a very heavy gauge of copper and it has castellated seams around the base and up the side. It has the typical, triangular form of steel handles to both the pan and cover and it dates from c.1870. There is slight pitting to the copper, to the base of the pan, and there is also slight pitting to the steel handle on the pan. Otherwise it is in excellent condition and the interior has been re-tinned so that it can be used.
Dimensions: Diameter of pan 19.2cm. Depth of pan 12.4cm. Overall length of pan and handle 38cm.
Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £30. Most of Western Europe add £15.
