About this item
Wonderful early C19th Swedish long case clock from Kougsta in the Jamtland region in an area of natural beauty of central Sweden.
The painted face is numbered simply and framed with gilded beading detail.
The body retains much of its wonderful original blue paint, has carved gilded decorative decoration of swags ,tassels, leaves and flowers with the top crowned in a stylised frame.
At present it has a pendulum but is not working, there the simple option to have a digital movement fitted.
Either way it is highly decorative and harder to find piece that would make a statement to an interior.
