About this item
A small pewter ice cream mould in the shape of a shell. This mould is marked, in the casting to both sides, with the initials 'CC' which is the mark of the French company Cadot. There is also a number '852' which is the pattern number. On one side it is also marked 'SGDG' which refers to the French patent. It dates from c.1880. The design in this mould is very well detailed and it is in very good condition. The interior is in good, bright, usable condition and the exterior has quite a dark patina.
