About this item
A small, pewter ice cream mould in the shape of a globe artichoke. This is marked, in the casting, “CC 837” and “BREVETE SGDG”. CC is the mark of the French company Cadot and 837 is the pattern number. It dates from c.1880. This is quite an unusual design but, unfortunately the interior is not in the best condition for use as it is quite worn and dull. The exterior has quite a dark patina.
