About this item
AESTHETIC BROWN TRANSFERWARE PLATTER
RUSTIC PATTERN
Burgess and Leigh ~ Hill Pottery
Staffordshire England
c. 1886
This wonderful victorian aesthetic platter is 16 1/8 " long x 11 3/4 " wide and is transfer printed in very dark brown against a creamy white background.
The pattern features two birds in flight over an urn filled with cherry blossom flowers. Exotic fruit and red raspberries along with a multitude of flowers frame the aesthetic cartouche of a distant country landscape. Wonderful geometric designs complete the plate.
Condition is great, clean shiny and bright. No chips, no cracks, no hairlines and no repairs. Our favorite pattern, it has everything going for it.
