This is a wonderful base and lid that once contained Caviar by appointment to the King. The paste inside came from Russia which produced the finest Caviar anywhere. Primarily packed in these beautiful pots for the upper class in England with the approval of the King.
The pot lid and base was made in the Staffordshire district and is transfer printed in black. 2 3/4 inches wide x 1 1/2 inches tall.
The pieces are in good condition. A chip to the outer flange and a few nibbles to the base.
