Large Pink Ewe Cushion

This big fat cushion is made from a really beautiful vintage Ewe kente cloth. The cloth dates to the 1940s and the colours have softened with the predominant colour a gorgeous raspberry pink. There are warp stripes in red yellow and green and weft blocks of the same colours as well as pink and teal. This section of the cloth has these wonderful yellow diamonds in an early rayon which is why I've made the cushion this particular shape. The rayon has worn slightly in one or two places but because its a floating weft it doesn't affect the strength of the textile. Ive backed the cushion with a heavy natural linen and there is a zip fastener and feather pad.
