About this item

This large and fabulous cushion as been made from both panels of a vintage Zhuang baby blanket. The blanket was woven on a backstrap loom in cotton and silk and is a beautiful mix of pinks with accents of dark blue and celadon. This cushion has a wonderful patina. The weaver was unable to use silks from the same dye lots, having to use a variety of tones of pink and red, giving it a charming character. I've backed the cushion with indigo dyed vintage hemp and there is a zip fastener and bespoke feather pad.
