Zhuang Cushion With Fringe Trim

This pretty little cushion is made from a Zhuang wedding blanket. The blanket was handloomed in cotton and silk and coloured with natural dyes. This blanket was predominantly a terracotta colour and i have lightened this in the wash.  The colours are pale pink and grey with pink and yellow silk diamonds. I've added a silky trim in a pale pink and yellow coloured yarn and this blends in beautitfully. The reverse is a hand dyed hemp. There is a zip fastener and feather pad.
