This is an ancient Roman gold Aureus, of Emperor Hadrian, struck at Rome between 119 - 120 AD
Obverse: IMP CAESAR TRAIAN HADRIANVS AVG; "Supreme commander (Imperator), Caesar, Trajan Hadrian, emperor (Augustus)" Bust of Hadrian, laureate, draped and cuirassed, right, viewed from front.
Reverse: P M TR P COS III / GEN P R; "High priest, holder of tribunician power, consul for the third time. To the Genius (guardian spirit) of the Roman people." Genius standing left, holding patera and cornucopia.
