This is an ancient Roman silver denarius, of Emperor Trajan, minted in Rome between 116 - 117 AD
Obverse: IMP CAES NER TRAIAN OPTIM AVG GERM DAC "Supreme commander (Imperator), Caesar, Nerva Trajan, the best emperor (Augustus), conqueror of the Germans, conqueror of the Dacians." Bust of Trajan, laureate, draped, right.
Reverse: PARTHICO P M TR P COS VI P P S P Q R "Conqueror of the Parthians, high priest, holder of tribunician power, consul for the sixth time, father of the nation. The senate and the Roman people." Felicitas, draped, standing left, holding caduceus up in right hand and cornucopiae in left.
