This is an ancient Roman silver Antoninianus of Emperor Gordian III, minted in Rome between 241 - 243 AD
Obverse: IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG "Emperor Gordianus, Pious and Happy August" radiate draped bust left
Reverse: IOVI STATORI "to Jupiter, the upholder (preserver)" Jupiter, nude, standing front, head left, holding long sceptre in right hand and thunderbolt in left hand.
