    This is an ancient Roman silver denarius, of emperor Caracalla, minted at Rome in 199 - 200 AD. 

    Obverse: ANTONINVS AVGVSTVS, "The August Antoninus" laureate, draped, cuirassed bust right

    Reverse: PONTIF TR P III, "[High] priest, holder of tribunician power for the third time." Sol standing facing, head left, holding globe and reversed spear.
