This is an ancient Roman Silver Denarius, of Emperor Antoninus Pius, minted at Rome between 148 - 149 AD
Obverse: ANTONINVS AVG PIVS P P TR P XII, "Antoninus Pius, emperor (Augustus) father of the nation, holder of tribunician power for the twelfth time" laureate head right
Reverse: COS IIII, "Consul for the fourth time" Salus standing facing, head left, holding patera & rudder on globe, feeding a serpent entwined around the altar.
