This is an ancient Roman silver denarius, of emperor Septimius Severus, minted at Rome between 197 - 198 AD.
Obverse: L SEPT SEV PERT AVG IMP X "Lucius Septimius Severus Pertinax, emperor (Augustus), supreme commander (Imperator) for the tenth time" laureate head right
Reverse: CONCORDIAE MILITVM, "For harmony with the soldiers" Concordia, draped, standing front, head left, holding standard in each hand.
A superb example in EF condition with minor iron deposits from burial.
