This is an ancient Roman Silver Denarius, of Lucius Verus, minted at Rome in 165 AD
Obverse: L VERVS AVG ARM PARTH MAX, "Lucius Verus, emperor (Augustus), conqueror of the Armenians, great conqueror of the Parthians" Head of Lucius Verus, laureate, right.
Reverse: TR P V IMP III COS II, "Holder of tribunician power for the fith time, supreme commander (Imperator) for the third time, consul for the second time" Captive seated right beside a pile of arms
A nice example, in good condition and toned.
