DN MAG MAXIMVS PF AVG pearl-diademed, draped & cuirassed bust right
VIRTVS EXERCITVS emperor, in military dress, standing right, head left, holding labarum in right hand and resting left hand on shield
This coin was minted at Treveri (Trier, Germany), mintmark TRPS. It had travelled across the English Channel, being buried in the Thruxton Hoard in the UK. This coin was purchased directly from the finder after being disclaimed by the British Museum.
