    About this item

An unusual, large copper pot with two steel handles to one side. Originally the interior of this piece was tinned, so it was for use with food, but I am not sure if it was for cooking or maybe just for storage. However, it is a very interesting shape. It is well made, from a very heavy gauge of copper, and it has castellated seams around the base and up the side. The steel handles are very simple in form, with flared terminals, and there is a flat, copper, strap handle to the lid. It dates from c.1850. It is in excellent condition but the tinning, to the interior, is worn.

    Dimensions: Height 30.5cm. Diameter 29.5cm Width 35cm.

Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £40. Most of Western Europe add £20.
