About this item
A small, 19th century, English copper Savarin mould. This shape of mould was named after the 19th century food critic Brillat Savarin. This example dates from c.1880 and it is made from quite a heavy gauge of copper. It is engraved with the initials “G.C.H.” which would be the initials of a previous owner. It is in very good condition but the tinning, to the interior, is worn.
